ASELSAN Announces Its Profit in the First Half of 2020

One of the largest companies in Turkey's defense industry ASELSANannounced its first half financial results of 2020 with its new statement. According to the statement, the company 1.8 billion TL managed to achieve the highest first half profit of all time. Increasing its turnover by 13 percent to 5.2 billion TL, ASELSAN managed to maintain the positive momentum it achieved in 2019 in 2020, which went through the pandemic period.

Making a statement about the first half results of 2020, ASELSAN Chairman and General Manager Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün stated that the coronavirus pandemic in the first half of 2020 changed the whole world both socially and commercially and made the following statements:

"During this period, there were serious disruptions and contractions in the production and sales volumes of companies, especially in the supply chain. On the other hand, the epidemic period was a period in which how prepared companies were for such crisis periods was tested. From the moment the first effects of the epidemic were seen, ASELSAN took effective steps towards the management of the process by making very rapid decisions both within the company and with all its external stakeholders, including its suppliers. In this process, we have determined the health of our employees as the first priority and to continue our activities uninterruptedly. This business continuity, Health We strictly followed all the directives of our Ministry and all relevant organizations regarding the epidemic.

Thanks to the measures we took, ASELSAN became the first defense industry company to be entitled to Covid-19 Safe Production/Safe Service Certification by fulfilling all standards set by the Turkish Standards Institute. Türkiye has become one of the countries in the world that managed the epidemic best and managed to keep its effects at a minimum level. In this process, ASELSAN became one of the members of the consortium for national ventilator production, which was initiated under the leadership of our Ministry of Industry and Technology and our Ministry of Health.
