Developments in our technologies are often RAM, processor Although we tend to evaluate it through different technologies such as, in general, the devices we use are advancing in every field.
As a result, connections and ports is also developing. One of these ports has been on the agenda for a long time. Thunderbolt 4 will be. Details about the port we saw at CES 2020 emerged for the first time.
What is Thunderbolt 4?
Thunderbolt 4is a slightly improved version of Thunderbolt 3, as claimed over the past six months. We will not see any increase in speed in this version. Of course, Thunderbolt 4 is derived from the current USB standard, USB 3.2 Gen 2. four times faster We should also remember that it is.
USB 3.2 Gen 2 It currently has a maximum speed of 10 Gbps. This is the speed of Thunderbolt 4 40 GB per secondIt means you can find . The connection, which uses the same architecture as the previous generation, does not offer any innovation in this sense.
In the new version, Intel doubled the video and data requirements with the new port. This port can now support two 4K displays or a single 8K screen can support. The port also supports USB 2.0, USB 3.2, USB 4, DisplayPort and PCIe. The minimum data transfer rate of the device is 32 Gbps in PCIe.
Intel aims to popularize Thunderbolt 4
Intel wants to use the Thunderbolt 4 port in even more devices and more common aims to become. Offering some certifications for the new entry, Intel offers many points where the ports can be used.
Thunderbolt 4 enables connection with up to four Thunderbolt 4 devices. Well 40GbpsIt will be possible to divide the connection into channels. Laptops using this technology will arrive later this year. Developer and certification kits have started to be shipped.
