TL;DR (AI QUICK SUMMARY)

We have many sources for news. In fact, news sources now somehow deliver the news to us, even if we do not want it. TV channels…

We have many sources for news. In fact,  news sources now somehow deliver the news to us, even if we don't want it. TV channels, social channels, news sitesi, printed newspapers and magazines and even WhatsApp family groups... Our news consumption habits, whose features have changed radically with new generation media tools, bring with them a significant risk: Being deceived.

Of course, you may be one of those individuals who do not believe everything they see or read, and you can investigate behind everything. But not everyone thinks or acts this way. For this reason, "trust", which should be the most important feature of news sources, can be abused by those sources themselves. Headlines for you to click, content taken out of context and distorted… So, what are the most reliable news sources? There is great debate on this issue.

In the survey we conducted on our Telegram channel, "Which news source do you think is more reliable?" 2,518 people answered the question. The results are striking:

  • Television channels: 11%
  • Internet environment: 39%
  • None: 44%
  • Undecided: 6%

Those who find any news source reliable and those who do not find it reliable and those who are undecided are divided into two with a ratio of 50% each. The majority of those who express trust, at 39%, see the internet as more reliable than TV channels. TV channels, on the other hand, are found reliable by only 1 in 10 respondents.

Both sources The rate of those who say they do not find it reliable is 44% This rate shows that both TV and internet media are starting to compete with each other in terms of news reliability. Those who are undecided are 6%. However, even though this rate seems low, it is important information for TV channels and large websites.

Of course, these results do not have any academic or scientific basis. Like all other surveys we organize on our Telegram channel, the main purpose of this one is to provide complete insight; To convey the information we receive from the reader to the reader. You can also join our Telegram channel and participate in our surveys to be instantly informed about important developments on the agenda. We welcome your comments on the results.
