Turkey's First Virtual Defense Industry Fair: SAHA EXPO

SAHA Istanbul, known as Türkiye's largest defense industry cluster, will hold the "SAHA EXPO" event, which it has been organizing physically for several years due to the coronavirus outbreak, through a virtual environment this year. In this way, even though the event cannot take place physically, it will be able to show its virtual visitors the new defense industry products in our country.

SAHA EXPO event would be held at the Istanbul Expo Center between 4-7 November under normal conditions. However, the coronavirus outbreak made it impossible to organize this event. As such, alternative solutions had to be produced, and BITES, one of the subsidiaries of ASELSAN, one of the members of the SAHA Istanbul cluster, made it possible to organize SAHA EXPO in a virtual environment with an application called XperEXPO.

SAHA EXPO, which will be organized by SAHA Istanbul in a virtual environment, will be a first in Türkiye in the field of defense industry. Participants will have the opportunity to see Türkiye's signature products and new generation vehicles in the defense industry at the event, which they can participate in 24/7. It is aimed to turn the defense fair, which will be held virtually, into a worldwide brand.

SAHA EXPO event will also provide a great advantage for the participants. Under normal circumstances, participants had to physically come to the event from all over the world, which reduced the number of participants. This situation will end with the virtual fair.

The SAHA EXPO event, which will be held virtually, will provide participants with almost the same experience as a physical fair. Participants will be able to visit and examine all the products within the scope of the fair in detail through virtual tours. Moreover, fair officials will not leave the participants alone during this virtual tour. Officials, who will use an application called BizBize, will be in direct communication with the participants and will be able to conduct question and answer activities.

Under normal circumstances, a certain number of participants were admitted to events such as SAHA EXPO. However, the participation of this fair in the virtual environment eliminated this situation. SAHA Istanbul says that unlimited participants can participate in this year's event. In this way, Türkiye's defense industry giants will be able to show their products to more people.
