Why Has Windows Phone Become History?

Windows Phone is the operating system offered on mobile phones as of December 10, 2019. will no longer receive updates had announced. This defeat is the first in the history of Microsoft and Windows. a big failure began to be seen as.

When Microsoft bought Nokia He is a Nokia engineer A Reddit user claimed that the reason behind the failure of Windows Phone important factors shared it with people. With these claims, we explained for you why Windows Phone failed. We wish you pleasant reading.

According to Nokia engineer, the reasons behind the Windows Phone fiasco are:

The Reddit user we mentioned is the brand's FinlandHe stated that he did not spend much time in Espoo, his headquarters in , and generally worked in the office in Boston. software development engineer He said it was. The engineer stated that the failure of Microsoft Phone was not due to a single reason. many different factors He stated that this led to the incident.

Google should not be underestimated

One of the biggest purposes of Windows is to create Windows Phone. at least as powerful as Android was to turn it into an operating system. However, it is said that Bill Gates began to underestimate Google and its services such as Gmail and Maps, and this meant laying the first foundations of an inevitable end. The company did not care about Google so much that Google stopped developing applications for Windows and Windows 8. left in 2012. The Reddit user's explanation on this issue was as follows:

"It was already known that Apple was a strong competitor, but Google was still new to the operating system business and did not take things seriously enough. At that time, Android had somehow managed to enter the race, but the most important thing was Google services. When Google withdrew its services such as YouTube, Maps and Gmail from Microsoft, Microsoft's reputation began to be damaged."

Blending Windows Mobile with desktop Windows led to failure:

The second reason behind the failure is that it works well on touch phones but when integrated into the desktop in Windows 8. far below expectations Microsoft's It was the subway interface. This error is caused by Microsoft's "a failed Windows 8″ It caused him to be marked. Microsoft's decision to blend Windows Mobile with Windows 8 has become an irreversible mistake for the company.

The engineer stated that people were extremely curious about Windows Phone before Windows 8 was released. Problems experienced after Windows 8 was released He says that because of this, the wet burns as well as the dry. Windows engineers did nothing to correct criticisms of the Metro interface, and thus the system remained labeled as a failure for a long time.

Microsoft also made wrong moves regarding finance:

Among the biggest mistakes made by the company investment troubles is also in the foreground. According to some people, the company; part of Nokia instead of buying your investment on Windows Phone If it did, it would be at least as powerful as Apple and Android today. According to the suggestions made, the move Microsoft should make is to reduce the investment it made at the beginning. continue at the same level it would happen.

In the beginning, Apple and Google were at least as powerful as Windows. limited opportunities Considering that it has, what Microsoft has done in the future poor financial moves It was truly a killer hit for the brand.

According to the engineer behind the claims on Reddit, the company has been a dominant technology company Despite this, he continued to tarnish his reputation because of his mistakes and raised a generation that literally hates Microsoft. Thanks to this hatred, major initiatives began to be taken on platforms other than Microsoft, and Windows Phone was not a preferred name in terms of investment.

Microsoft failed to give people enough reasons to choose Windows Phone

By the end of 2014, Apple and Android operating systems were no longer available. put it in a certain order and phone users' preferences Generally It was happening through this brand. So Microsoft is a little busy for this job. it was late. There were some new apps on Windows Phone too, but they were designed to migrate people from Apple or Android to Windows Phone. was not considered sufficient reason.

The engineer recommends that people switch to a different system after they get used to a certain system. that you don't prefer Saying that, even today, the number of transitions from Android to Apple or from Apple to Android is increasing. it's too little states.

Nokia tried to recover from Microsoft's failure

In 2011, Microsoft and nokia According to a mutual agreement between Nokia, Nokia was prohibited from making an Android-powered phone. However, the failures experienced by the company made Nokia a move on to plan B left in the situation and Nokia Android rolled up its sleeves to produce devices with an operating system.

As an engineer working at Nokia, both Microsoft and Android The engineer who saw the part claims that Microsoft's software is more successful than Android.

Nokia kept like a secret The engineer stated that, in the content he wrote, there are not many products available in the market to promote the device. they couldn't make an announcement, so instead they just hire Java engineers and start R&D:

"As we got closer to launch, things fell into place. One of the first things I did for Android was working on the X app store. We were still in the early days of Android Studio, so we were still developing apps in Eclipse."

Since we were working on Eclipse, Android Studio was very inadequate compared to Visual Studio. That's why, despite the negative comments from users, I still claim that Microsoft software is more powerful than Android software.“

A surprising suggestion from Microsoft for Windows Phone users:

After Microsoft confirmed that support for Windows Phone would be discontinued, questions began to arise in the minds of Windows Phone users. Users, Windows 10 Mobile Users encountered an extremely surprising answer written by the company under the question of what to do now.

Microsoft, he doesn't want to be victimized for users “Windows Phone users can switch to iOS or Android supported devices” He made a statement. Microsoft, which had to recommend brands to its users that it saw as rivals for many years and competed in the same field, threw away all the efforts made so far and marked the end of an era.

In general, we can say that the late strategies and wrong and weak financial moves implemented by Microsoft brought the end of Windows Phone. It's all the fault of those times CEO Steve Ballmer We do not know whether it belongs to us, but it is constantly How important is development? It is truly surprising that a person who emphasizes this should be so late in taking action.

Windows Phone adventure full of failures and the reasons behind these failures are only due to their competitors. not caused by We explained it for you. If the right steps were taken and the necessary financial resources were provided to Windows Phone, perhaps Windows Phone would be at least as popular as Apple and Android in the mobile phone market today. He would be a strong and assertive name.
